Owner of Times Square Tim Bass is thrilled to be able to host an event like this and bring something different to downtown: “I was sitting there thinking, you know, what can I do to get people to come to the center. -ville and in our building? And so with that in mind, I started to think outside the box and think of Times Square in New York City. What would it take to create this same atmosphere, this same atmosphere, in our street? We’re really excited to be able to do it this year and bring more people downtown.

Marcy Kilpatrick of the Bass Clef School of Music and Fine Arts explained, “Everyone is welcome to attend. It will just be a chance for everyone to go out, have a good time, see this great event debuting here in Great Falls, MT, and also a chance for people to come together and commune again. . “

The bullet drop is expected to bring more people downtown and that’s exactly what Times Square tenants have already seen, it’s more people supporting local stores.

Carolyn Brown owns the Montana Mosaic Store in Times Square and says she has seen an increase in business over the holidays and expects that trend to continue, especially with a bullet drop underway.

“What I’m hearing is we’re excited. We’re excited to see one, new people come into the building and two, let’s see what it brings for the client and the clients and something new and different and I thought that was a really good idea ” Brown said. “Especially if it helps bring people into people let alone downtown, people are going to benefit.”

Along with the ball drop, Times Square will also host a kickboxing event that will take place the evening before the ball drops and the clock strikes midnight.

The Times Square building is on the northwest corner of the intersection of Central Avenue and 5th Street.
