The company’s Micro Player Arcades transform the golden days of coin-operated gaming into a tiny, affordable package designed to appeal to gamers old and young. His growth line up officially licensed retro versions already include Contra, Pac-Man, Space Invaders, Galaga and Bubble bubble, among others. Now he’s teaming up with Capcom on an iconic beat-em-up Micro Player Street Fighter II: Champion Edition.
The new entry is bundled in a 1 / 10th scale replica of the original arcade cabinet from the 1992 game, with artwork inspired by the original, including character portraits of playable fighters Ryu, Ken, Zangief and Blanka. My Arcade’s attention to detail extends to the physical controls as well, with a six-button layout (to fine tune those combos and hadoukens) and a joystick, with mechanical switches for added satisfaction. The machine’s coin trap and backlit marquee complete the classic look. Best of all, players can compete against each other by connecting two mini arcades with the included CO / VS cable.
