Award-winning chef Julio Delgado is about to unveil his latest food and drink concept.
Coming to Alpharetta in spring 2022, Fogón and Lions will be a modern Hispano-Latin restaurant. A post on Instagram says the new concept will serve “inventive dishes and drinks based on the culinary traditions of Spain, Central and South America and the Caribbean.”
Located at 10, rue Roswell, Atlanta Eater reports that the restaurant will feature an open kitchen with a custom 14-foot grill for roasting and grilling meats. Delgado’s goal with his new concept is to go back to “the origin of cooking” and honor his family roots, like his grandfather who owned a butcher shop in Puerto Rico.
Delgado is also the owner and executive chef of Minnie Olivia Pizzeria, right next to Fogón and Lions. Delgado has a lot of hospitality experience and has previously worked in several Atlanta restaurants including JP Atlanta and New Realm Brewing.
Customers can expect a bit of everything on the menu, including unique steaks, seafood, ceviches, churrascos, cheeses, cured hams, tacos, and whole roasted meats. “Fogón and Lions cuisine is both authentic and innovatively updated for modern dining,” the restaurant’s website reads.
A lively Latin-inspired bar will also be one of the restaurant’s highlights. Creative cocktails, as well as a selection of carefully selected Spanish and South American wines, will be served. Customers can also expect to experience live music.
Details of the inauguration have yet to be announced.
