Brooklyn Nets announce 2021-22 home schedule with weeklong celebration starting Sunday, October 24

BROOKLYN – The Brooklyn Nets will kick off their 2021-2022 home schedule at the Barclays Center on Sunday, October 24 at 4 p.m. in a clash against the Charlotte Hornets. To commemorate the Nets’ “opening week” at Barclays Center, the team will host a weeklong celebration for each of their first five home games that will include special halftime musical performances, pre-game in Barclays Center’s SeatGeek and exclusive items for sale from the recently teased Nets x Warren Lotas collaboration.

Part-time musical performances during opening week include Busta Rhymes October 24, Kranium October 25, Capella Gray October 27, Marian Hill October 29, and Amber mark October 31.

The Nets will also unveil a personalized five-piece Warren Lotas merchandise collection that will be sold exclusively in the Nets team store at Barclays Center, Brooklyn Fanatics, during opening week. A unique item from the Nets x Warren Lotas collaboration will be available to ticket holders for purchase in each of the first five home games, and quantities of each of the five items are limited.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early every game for a pre-game celebration at SeatGeek Plaza at Barclays Center with music from DJ Michael Ortiz, performances by Team Hype and the Brooklyn Nets Beats drum line, a mini basketball court, prizes and more. Plaza events will begin two and a half hours before the start of each game during opening week.

Besides, Webull, the official partner of the Nets’ shirt patch, will donate a total of 8,000 tickets to games during opening week. Tickets will be used by various New York City organizations and nonprofits, ensuring community members are a part of the Nets’ highly anticipated season. Ahead of the October 24 announcement, John Abbamondi, CEO of BSE Global, and Anthony Denier, CEO of Webull, will participate in a jersey exchange ceremony on center court.

All guests attending the October 24 game will receive a free Nets t-shirt, and the Empire State Building will light up its world-famous tower in black and white on Saturday, October 23 to celebrate the Nets home opener the following day. The Nets encourage fans to wear white for the home opener on October 24 and be in their shoes before the 4 p.m. kick-off for an elevated synchronized light show that will take place during the national anthem and player intros. Fans are encouraged to share photos and follow on social media throughout the week using #EmbraceTheMoment and tagging @brooklynnets.

This season, customers will notice new dealership offerings at Barclays Center, including iconic street tacos from Nene’s Taqueria and cheesesteak sandwiches from Fedoroff’s. The arena will also open the new Brooklyn Market, a food market located near Sections 15 and 16 of the Main Lobby, which will feature a rotating selection of items from local and minority-owned restaurants. American Express cardholders can also visit the American Express store, a payment-free, contactless shopping experience exclusively for American Express® cardholders offering both concessions and merchandise near Section 6.

Currently, under a current New York City mandate, ticket holders aged 12 and over must have at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine to attend an event at the Barclays Center.
